Free City Project

Flint, MI

In 2019 we packed up our vehicle and drove up to Flint, MI to participate in the Free City mural festival. The organizers of this annual event lined up more than 50 artists this year and supplied housing for groups to make the journey during the year to add murals throughout the city. Our wall was under a railroad overpass and hadn't seen fresh paint in 25 years. Over the course of 3 days, 200 cans of spray paint & 15 gallons of primer, we installed our mural that depicts a mix of the historically significant automobile manufacturing industry with the native Apple Blossom state flower.
